South African actress Dineo Langa and her husband, musician Zothile “Solo” Langa, are stepping into a new role together as the hosts of Netflix’s highly anticipated Love Is Blind: South Africa.
The couple has officially announced that they will be hosting the first-ever African edition of the hit global social experiment, which is slated to premiere on Netflix later in 2026.
The announcement comes after Netflix South Africa recently teased fans with a short promotional clip shared on Instagram, leaving viewers guessing about who would take on the hosting duties.
Netflix South Africa threw fans a bone with the caption: “Love might be blind… but your guess shouldn’t be. Who do you think is hosting the first-ever season of Love Is Blind: South Africa?”
Fans did not have to wait too long for the mystery to be solved.
Dineo and Solo have now revealed that they are the faces who will guide viewers through the emotional highs, difficult decisions and relationship drama expected to unfold throughout the first season.
In the video they shared, the couple confirmed the exciting news, saying: “The cats officially out of the bag. You heard correct, we are the new hosts of Netflix’s Love Is Blind: South Africa. We can’t wait for you guys to see the new episodes and please do not ask for any spoilers!”
Their appointment as hosts is particularly fitting given that they are married themselves and have experienced the journey of commitment first-hand.
Dineo Langa married musician Zothile “Solo” Langa on 11 May 2019 for their traditional ceremony, followed by a white wedding later that year. Their relationship now places them in an interesting position as they take viewers through a show where singles attempt to find a lifelong partner without ever seeing them first.
The show follows the familiar Love Is Blind format, where singles enter soundproof pods and begin forming connections without ever seeing one another. As emotional bonds grow, some couples take the ultimate leap and get engaged before meeting face-to-face. They then leave the pods and put their relationships to the real-world test, navigating life together, meeting each other’s families and ultimately deciding whether their love is strong enough to lead them down the aisle.
With Dineo and Solo at the helm, viewers can expect a distinctly South African flavour as the couple takes on one of Netflix’s biggest dating formats. And while they have promised excitement, they have also made one thing very clear: do not ask them for spoilers.
