Fresh off her victory as Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidimma Vannesa Adetshina was honoured as the brand ambassador of Enugu State at a heartwarming homecoming event. The beauty queen, who was crowned at the prestigious Eko Hotel Convention Centre in September, stood out among 25 contestants, securing the title along with a N10-million (R112,000) cash prize.
Adetshina was warmly welcomed to the government house by Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, who praised her for her recent achievements. The governor’s emphasis on education resonated deeply with Chidimma, as she has a personal mission to empower young people through education.
“I received the honour of being in the presence of the Governor of Enugu state, Dr. Peter Ndubisi Mbah. Upon my homecoming, I was received and appointed as the brand ambassador of Enugu State,” Chidimma expressed gratefully. “I cannot express my gratitude for all the great things I have achieved in my father’s land. Again… Nigeria, THANK YOU for picking me up when I was on my knees.”
With her new role as brand ambassador, Chidimma Adetshina is now preparing to represent Nigeria on the global stage at the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico.
