Thobeka Majozi, the mother of Cassper Nyovest’s son, Khotso, has opened up about a deeply emotional journey that she and her family have kept private for a long time — her son’s battle with cancer. But now, she is rejoicing and giving praise to God after receiving the best news any parent in her position could ever hope for: their little boy is cancer-free.
After months of quiet strength and faith, Thobeka couldn’t hold back her joy any longer. Taking to social media, she shared a heartfelt message expressing her gratitude and overwhelming relief.
“How do I keep quiet when your voice is so loud in my life? How do I keep quiet when your hand has taken dominion over my heart? How do I keep quiet when your presence is so evident around me? Ngizo’thula kanjani? Akuvumi. Every little particle of me wants to scream on top of a hill to testify of the goodness of God. I have a testimony. I am the testimony. You’re so faithful Father. My praise shall match your greatness!!! Nginobufakazi kimi,” she wrote with emotion.
It has not been an easy journey for Thobeka and Cassper Nyovest, especially following their unexpected breakup. Their son’s illness was kept private for a long time, and only recently has the public come to understand the painful journey they’ve experienced together.
“This week I’ve been led to my knees to remember, repent and return. Amongst the many good things He’s done, I remember the day my son was declared cancer free. A year later, we went to take out his chemo port. This confirming no potential comeback. Oh, He’s been a good good God,” she added.
“My tongue shall never whisper or fall short on letting the next person know. I repent for negotiating my surrender and not being obedient to the call. Allowing doubt and fear to tread silently and lightly on the steps you’ve ordered. I return to my first love and come into agreement with words you first spoke over me. Ngeke, ngithule…”
The good news has touched many people, with fans and fellow celebrities sending love and support. Rapper Gigi Lamayne commented, “He reigns supreme! Lord you are great! Thank you for holding them tight. For Thobeka’s strength and power and for King K’s fight and resilience. May he continue to create wonders mama…”
