Black Twitter Reacts To Mihlali Ndamase‘s Looting Joke. South Africa has been affected by the looting and crimes against small businesses since the weekend. Many celebrities and the people of South Africa have commented on the situation, pointing out how their anger is misdirected at small businesses and should rather be directed towards the government that has clearly failed its people.

Black twitter more especially has been buzzing with comments from the public about the corruption and looting. One celebrity in particular who tweeted about the situation is beauty content creator Mihlali Ndamase. The YouTuber recently came under fire for her joke about looting that clearly rubbed the people of twitter the wrong way.

“When are we looting Merc?” she wrote.

In a now deleted tweet, Mihlali jokingly asked her followers when they including herself are going to Mercedes Benz to loot the luxury car. Obviously Mihlali stans defended the social media star claiming that others were allowed to make jokes about looting at other well known stores, so should she. Others didn’t find the joke funny at all and have been dragging her for insensitivity.

Mihlali has since broken her silence over the scrutiny, making it clear that she was just joking. The masses are not about letting it slide because she is a public figure and many people look up to her.
