Black Twitter Reacts To Maps Maponyane’s Response To A Bad Review On Buns Out! Maps Maponyane ventured into restaurant business a couple of weeks ago and the reviews have been extremely positive until now.

One twitter user who tried out the restaurant came back on the platform to speak about her own experience and it wasn’t a good one. “Yall really hyped Buns Out, I didn’t enjoy the food, the burger we had, had a dry patty, too much stuff (ingredients) going on & you couldn’t taste the flavours yuh ha.a. I didn’t enjoy,” she tweeted.

Maps responded like the gentleman he is with a little spice at the end. “Hey Fifi, I’m sorry that you didn’t have a great experience. We try hold a high standard, & I apologise that we clearly weren’t able to maintain it with your meal. Highly appreciate the honest feedback & hope we’ll get a second chance to impress. P.S. Nice meeting you today,” Maps responded.

After Maps’ response, black twitter was torn between respecting the bad review and the woman’s tone in her tweet and most importantly the fact that she didn’t bring her concerns up when she met Maps at the restaurant. Check out some of the reactions below.

She wants attention nyani. Why couldn't she tell you face to face that she's not impressed with the meal?

Mna shame I haven't been to buns out but I already know I'll enjoy the burger when I'm there one day 💃🏾🙏🏾

I’m all for constructive criticism; but ubaby girl started her tweet with “y’all really hyped Buns Out”, whats that about? Is she not trying to invalidate other people’s experiences by insinuating that they lied??! 🤷🏽‍♀️

Shout to Maps though for handling it like a G! 👊🏽

If she didnt enjoy the burgers at Buns Out then it is what it is , why silence her , she paid for the burger she is a customer

I knew from "y'all hyped buns out" that this tweet wasn't about shit, just another black person trying to drag a black brother down, take this level of energy to McDonald's or chicken licken . https://t.co/CZiVyxrf2E

I don't have a problem with the negative review. But I find your approach mischievous.

1, You met @MapsMaponyane , u didn't complain. Then u come here and complain🙄.

2, you started your review with 'yall really hyped buns out'. Your issue was with food… Or the Hype? https://t.co/knsFwZ7lAY

Why are ppl so angry when she didn't enjoy the Buns Out, Maps answered like a pro, it's not a big thing, its part of business, a customer that complains is better than one that don't & I've realised black people dont complain hence we dont get the best compared 2 'white' areas

bathong? you guys never complain about restaurants on here? and say harsh and meaner things about the restaurant? why shouldn't they be said about Buns Out? le bo dimakatso, la makatsa.

— kgatli. (@kgatlii) November 27, 2019

This complain was going to be okay had you not said “Y’all really hyped Buns Out”, it invalidated everything you said afterwards. https://t.co/EStapvq5An

I mean she said "yall really hyped Buns Out" so clearly she wanted to vent here. So that those of us who only saw good reviews know that there are a few like her who live unhappy.

That Buns Out review had malice intent but I’m glad it was responded to with kindness and professionalism. The “Y’all really hyped up..” part is what confused me, if giving an honest review about your food experience why the need to prove the collective wrong?
