South African actress, television star, and beauty entrepreneur Amanda du-Pont has shared an important update with her supporters regarding her skincare brand, Lelive. Known internationally for its focus on African botanicals and sustainable beauty, the brand recently announced that prices in South Africa will increase from October 2025.
The official Instagram page of Lelive posted the news, explaining the reasons behind the change. The statement read:
“An update for our community in South Africa. From 1 October 2025, a price adjustment will come into effect. This is our first adjustment in over two years which allows us to keep doing what we do best – investing in high-quality ingredients, sustainable packaging, and thoughtful processes that put your skin and our planet first. What hasn’t changed is our promise to never cut corners and to only adjust prices when absolutely necessary. The good news? You can still shop your favourites at their current prices until 30 September 2025. Thank you for believing in us, supporting us and being part of this journey – we wouldn’t be here without you.”
Despite the news, many of Lelive’s loyal customers welcomed the transparency. Instagram user eatdrinkcapetown_ commented, “No matter the price point, you guys guarantee the best skincare. Always a supporter because of your transparency and commitments to give us the best.”
Another fan, chazne.govender, wrote, “Thank you for being transparent! Don’t ever stop creating Lelive products.” Support also came from juliasarahhirsch, who added, “Still the best products,” while resortsupplements encouraged, “Keep building. Keep growing.”
This announcement comes after a successful start to 2025 for the brand. In January, ELLE UK ranked Lelive’s tinted moisturizer second only to global beauty giant NARS, placing it among the top five internationally. Amanda proudly shared the recognition with her followers, expressing how meaningful the achievement was.
On Instagram, she celebrated by saying: “So I’ve just got news that we’ve been named in the top 5 moisturizer category by ELLE UK. Yoh, guys, that’s wild! I think for me, I just always wanted to create accessible skincare, something using our native African botanics, backed by science, and making affordable luxury skincare. Launching in the UK has been one of the scariest moves of my journey. Guys, I just want to say thank you, like thank you. This is insane!”
In May 2025, Amanda du-Pont was also named one of the 13 finalists in The Business of Beauty Global Awards 2025, ranking 2nd under the Emerging Track category. The list resulted from a highly competitive selection process, with over 100 beauty founders from 17 countries and five continents applying. The awards featured two categories: the Emerging Track, for new brands earning under $2 million (about R37 million) a year, and the Breakthrough Track, for growing businesses making up to $10 million annually. Amanda made the cut for the Emerging Track, which highlights startup brands showing strong potential and rapid growth.
Founded in 2020, Lelive Skincare was built on Amanda du-Pont’s passion for solving skin concerns such as acne while using African-sourced ingredients. The brand has grown into a global name while maintaining a strong local following, thanks to its community-driven approach and Amanda’s commitment to authenticity.
