Relebogile Mabotja, the talented presenter, radio host, singer, producer, and writer, is celebrating a very special milestone today — her 40th birthday. Known for her dynamic presence on Radio 702 as the host of 702 Afternoons with Relebogile Mabotja and her role as TV host of Showmax’s Untied, Relebogile has built an inspiring career that spans over two decades.
To mark the big day, she shared a beautiful picture of herself in a long, flowing, and colourful dress. The image quickly attracted love and warm wishes from fans, colleagues, and fellow celebrities.
Talkradio702 celebrated her special day by writing, “Happy Birthday to the host with most. We love and appreciate you.” Actress Lerato Mvelase also joined in, posting, “Happy birthday, welcome to the 4th floor. It’s amazing here. Relebogile’s 40th birthday comes at a time when her career is shining brightly. Just last month, her popular radio show, 702 Afternoons with Relebogile Mabotja, was nominated for Best Social Media Use By A Radio Show at the prestigious South African Social Media Awards (SASMA).
Her success didn’t stop there. At the Basadi in Music Awards 2025, she was honoured as TV Producer of the Year, one of the night’s biggest wins. Receiving the award was an emotional moment for her.
“To say I’m proud of myself is a small understatement. Especially because I have struggled and continue to struggle with not just celebrating myself but also truly relishing and absorbing and marinating and digesting and processing the moments of success,” she shared.
She went on to reflect on her journey, highlighting the hard work it took to get to where she is today. “This may have been for one show but it feels like it’s for all the hard work in my entire career. Many don’t know this, but I started working in production at the age of 18 as a production assistant straight off the theatre stage as a performer. It has been a very long and tough journey and I am overjoyed that it’s harvest season,” she said.
As she steps into her 40s, Relebogile Mabotja has every reason to celebrate, not just her birthday, but also her remarkable achievements and the bright future ahead.
