Israel Zulu On His Road To Recovery. Veteran actor Israel Zulu is opening up about his health that jas been challenged very recently. After saying goodbye to Mzansi Magic’s Gomora because of his health, fans of the show were left very worried. The actor has now assured his fans through an interview with the Daily sun that he is doing well.

Israel who played the role of Don on the Mzansi Magic series assured fans that his still on the road to recovery and he is doing very well. He added that he is very grateful for the support and well wishes that he has received from the people of Mzansi.

“I’m thankful for the kind messages and prayers but people mustn’t worry about me too much. I am recovering at home and receiving the best medical care” he said.

According to the actor, he had to leave the show because he had gangrene on his leg, which made it hard for him to walk around. Gangrene is a dangerous and potentially fatal condition that happens when the blood flow to a large area of tissue is cut off. This causes the tissue to break down and die. Gangrene often turns the affected skin a greenish-black colour and can affect the toes, fingers and limbs, and organs.

On the last days of his time on the set of Gomora, Zulu says he was using a wheelchair to move around and get to set. Zulu shared that he went to the doctor to get tested for underlying conditions like Diabetes and Hypertension which are normally associated with Gangrene, but to his surprise he was clear of all medical conditions.

The actor claims he made the decision to not enquire about these unforeseen circumstances on account of his mental health and wanted to avoid things like depression , heart disease and strokes that may be a result. Zulu return to the small screen is still unknown as he is unable to do everyday activities, but he is grateful to the Gomora team for their understanding.

Fans seemed to be devastated by the news of the actors departure however, the actor shared that this is a chance to give another deserving actor a platform to showcase their talent and there is no bad blood between him and the production.
