Zozibini Tunzi Bags A Hosting Gig. Zozibini Tunzi is undoubtedly one of Mzansi’s most loved celebs and the only Miss South Africa in the eyes of social media users. Since her crowning in 2019, the beauty has gone on to do amazing things not to mention her Miss Universe crowning that followed in the very same year. The time has come for another local hopeful to be crowned Miss South Africa and we are ready.
The Daily Sun publication has revealed that Zozibini Tunzi will also play a key role on the night of the Miss South Africa pageant as she will be handling the backstage duties. Tunzi has been announced as the backstage presenter for the upcoming Miss SA pageant and she will be joined by 2018 Miss Universe winner Catriona Gray as a co-host.
Tunzi has taken to Instagram to share how excited she is for the day as it feels like a full circle moment for her as she literally has been in every position in the competition including a contestant and a judge. Catriona and Zozi share a special connection as she is the one who passed the Miss Universe crown on to Zozi as she won the previous year in 2018.
“What a full circle moment! In 2019 I was crowned Miss SA. In 2020 I was a judge and this year I’m excited to announce that I will be a backstage Co-host for @official_misssa 2021. The live show will be from 5pm (SAST) and the pre-show from 4pm (SAST). Catch all the action exclusively on the link in my bio” she wrote.
The road to Miss SA has already begun as the date for the annual ceremony gets closer by the day. The platform has already introduced the country to the top ten finalist that will be competing for the crown on the night, and now they have also revealed who will be hosting the evening.
947 Breakfast With Anele host Anele Mdoda announced that she will be the host for Miss SA. Anele will be joining the likes of Bonang Matheba, Minnie Dlamini and more who have hosted the evening in the previous years. Anele is no stranger to the competition as she has been part of the judging panel for the prestigious ceremony in 2013, however this is her first time hosting the event.
Mdoda shared her excitement to grace the stage alongside actor Nico Panagio who is the host of Survivor SA as the hosts for the evening. The official night will take place October 16th at the Cape Town Grand Arena, Grandwest and will broadcast live on Mnet and Mzansi Magic at 17:00pm
Congratulations Zozi!!
