Dr Musa Mthombeni Reveals How He Slid In Liesl’s DM. Very few people have successful stories about shooting their shot and actually making it but, Dr Musa Mthombeni does. The TV personality recently got down on one knee and popped the big question to his now soon to be wife Liesl Laurie. The whole of Mzansi has since been congratulating the pair on the news and now the doctor is letting us in on how it all began.
Taking to Instagram, Musa shared the story and the voice note of when he first laid eyes on Liesl. According to the doctor, it was exactly one year ago when he saw Liesl’s picture on his friend and colleague Dr Khanyile’s Instagram story. He commented with an in love emoji on the photo and sent Dr Khanyile a voice not singing about how beautiful Laurie is.
He then mustered up the courage to DM the former Miss South Africa winner a sweet message and we guess he managed to sweep her of her feet. Since that day, he has been communicating with Laurie everyday throughout the day and he has been a happy man ever since.
The doctor thanked his friend Dr Khanyile for her being forward and posting the story because he has gotten a beautiful life partner out of it. His followers and celebrity friends have commented on the post, highlighting that the DM’s are where its at.

I commented on this story with a “?” and sent @dr_khanyile a voice note highlighting my utter excitement for this post. Within the hour I sent @liesllaurie a sweet innocent message and as they say….. the rest is history. Since that day I’ve spoken to @liesllaurie everyday, throughout the day. The love of my life and future wife. Thank you @liesllaurie and thank you @dr_khanyile for uk’phapha and for posting that story. I now have a caring, kind, beautiful and future wife who reciprocates the love I deserve, everyday” he wrote.
Musa and liesl recently went on a romantic getaway in Durban and spent some much needed quality time drinking wine while overlooking the beautiful calm ocean.
