Dineo Langa Addresses People Who Still Use Her Old Character Name. Television presenter and actress Dineo Langa has been in the public eye for a number of years, so we know for a fact that people know what her real is despite any role she might be portraying. We also though it was common sense to separate what is real from what is fake when it comes to watching telenovela’s and soapies, but it seems like some people battle to do so.
Taking to her IG story, Dineo shred her annoyance over people who use her character name to address her instead of her birth name. The actress took it upon herself to assist those who seem to not see what the big deal is and made it clear that her name doesn’t start with the letter K but instead a D.
“My name doesn’t start with K. My actual names only start with D and N” she wrote.
She continued to emphasize the fact that everyone who has the capacity to watch and understand a show should know that TV characters are part of a story or fantasy as one might say and they don’t actually exist in real life. She continued to make those who do interact with her to use her actual name which starts with a D or just not bother communicating with her at all.
She rounded of her statement by pointing out how the habit of fans addressing actors by their character names is totally unacceptable because they are well aware that it is just a made up character as part of the job.
“I don’t like the thing of calling actors their character names when you know very well that people are acting and its a job” she said.
Dineo Langa used to play the role of Kea on The Queen before she had a massive falling out with the couple. In more recent times, Dineo and the Ferguson’s had an interesting shady back and forth on social media about why they decided to part ways.
“Dineo’s contract was not terminated. She is still on payroll until the end of May. Dineo was released to go and shoot her movie. Scripts had to be rewritten to accommodate this as she was on an ‘A’ storyline. She was scheduled to return in April, but due to the lockdown, everything has changed.” the Fergusons said.
