With the country preparing for the local government elections, the conversation examines Malema’s vision for EFF-led municipalities, focusing on service delivery, access to clean water, affordable electricity, public healthcare and economic opportunities for young South Africans.

The episode also tackles the often-contested issue of immigration and the treatment of foreign nationals. Malema discusses his Pan-Africanist beliefs and anti-colonial stance, while Nandi raises questions around crime, pressure on public resources and the challenges confronting South African families.

Moving beyond policy and politics, the conversation takes a more personal turn as Malema reflects on his upbringing, his relationship with his late mother and the life experiences that helped shape his identity and leadership.

Through these conversations, The Motherhood Network seeks to create an accessible platform where mothers and their communities can engage with different political perspectives, better understand the issues affecting their lives and make informed decisions at the ballot box.

The Motherhood Network emphasises that it is not affiliated with or aligned to any political party or political organisation. Invitations to political leaders and participation in the series should not be interpreted as endorsements of any individual, party or organisation.
