Radio and TV broadcaster Masechaba Mposwa has shared her joy and gratitude after recently visiting her husband’s family in the Eastern Cape. The media personality opened up about the emotional experience on social media, describing it as a special moment filled with love, culture, and family unity.
Masechaba reflected on being officially welcomed and embraced by her in-laws, saying the experience left her feeling humbled and thankful.
She wrote, “Being welcomed into my husband’s family this weekend was such a joyful and humbling experience. To be embraced, guided, and officially inducted by my in-laws is a blessing.
“Marriage is not only about two people coming together — it’s about family. It’s about knowing each other deeply. I knew my husband before I said yes. I know his roots, I know his tribe – and I thank God everyday that I am married into such a warm, loving, and supportive family.”
“There is something sacred about returning home. On this day, we arrived on home soil after a 13 hour drive, at our family estate in Lusikisiki, Eastern Cape, surrounded by love, tradition, and generations of heritage for our son, Lukhanyo Lwezizwe’s official welcoming ceremony.
“A beautiful moment of unity, culture, and family – the beginning of his journey embraced by his ancestors, his people, and his name.”
Her husband, gospel artist Ntethelelo Mposwa, also shared an important family milestone during the same visit. In another social media post, Ntethe revealed that his father had gifted him a massive piece of land situated along the Wild Coast in the Eastern Cape.
He wrote, “Today marks a deeply personal and historic moment for me and my family. I am honoured and grateful to announce that my father, Faku, has officially given me a 100-Hectare piece of land (90 – 100 Rugby Fields in Size).
“This land is along the beautiful Wild Coast of Port St Johns in the Eastern Cape.”
Ntethe added that seeing the land in person was both emotional and inspiring, especially because of the opportunities it may bring in the future.
“Seeing the size and potential of this land in person was both humbling and inspiring. This is more than land. It is heritage & it is the foundation for something transformational, not only for our family, but for the future of the region and its people.
“The Wild Coast carries untapped potential in tourism, agriculture, property development, cultural preservation, and economic empowerment.
“I want to sincerely thank my father for giving me this land.”
