Unathi Nkayi Responds to Criticism Over Spa Picture

Media personality and radio presenter Unathi has defended herself after receiving criticism from a social media user over a picture she shared during a spa visit.

The star recently opened up about some of her favourite skincare and wellness combinations from Africology Spa. According to Unathi, she decided to share the recommendations after a gentleman at the spa asked her about the products she enjoys buying and using.

She wrote, “COMBOS
I visited @africologysa with a friend over the weekend and a gentleman was there buying a few items for his wife. He asked that I share some of my favourite combos so that he can get them next time he decides to spoil her. Here you are sir and all the other sirs for the special people in your life.”

Unathi then listed some of the products and treatments she enjoys. For home fragrances, she recommended the Nerole candle and diffuser, Heart Chakra candle, relaxation and aromatherapeutic room spray, as well as a pillow and linen spray designed to create a calming atmosphere.

For bath and body care, she mentioned products such as bath soak and magnesium salts, which are often used for relaxation and relieving body tension.

She also shared some of her favourite skincare products, including an exfoliator, detox clay, detox cream, cellulite oil, bronzer and shimmer cream mixed with marula oil for glowing and moisturised skin.

The media personality further revealed some of the spa treatments she enjoys, including a detox and cellulite exfoliation wrap, G6 machine treatment and a hot stone massage.

“These are some of my favourite combos,” she wrote.

Alongside the post, Unathi shared a bold but tasteful self-portrait taken at the spa. In the picture, she is seen sitting on a massage bed while covering herself with her arms and legs.

However, the image sparked mixed reactions online after one man questioned whether she was too old to post such content. He wrote, “Don’t you think you too old to do some of the things you do?”

Unathi quickly responded and defended herself against the criticism.

“Men like YOU want us to think that. I used to weigh 98kgs and have come down to this? with very few stretch marks and firm skin. That is thanks to Africology. It is BECAUSE of time and my age that I look like this. So in a nutshell NO..”

Many followers supported Unathi in the comments section, praising her confidence and applauding her for embracing herself unapologetically.
