Sharing the news with her followers, Chuene wrote: “On this day, 19 May 2026 at 4pm, 1, Rami Chuene, would like to state on record that I have received communication from the SABC telling me they will be paying me repeat fees for my work on Giyani:Land Of Blood. The actress also explained why she chose to publicly speak about the matter, saying it was important for other actors to know that repeat fees are something they deserve when productions are aired again on television.

Chuene continued: “Why am I telling you? So you know, my dear thespians, that this is what is truly due to us. I appreciate this from the SABC and hope that all actors that have their shows repeated on TV are also getting their repeat fees. Thank you SABC.”

Repeat fees are payments made to actors when television shows are rebroadcast, and the topic has been part of ongoing conversations in the South African entertainment industry for years. Chuene’s update has now given hope to many performers who continue to advocate for better treatment and fair payment structures.
