South African singer Naledi Aphiwe has shared positive news with fans after revealing that her partnership with the popular lollipop brand Stumbo is still moving forward.

The 19-year-old singer recently took to her Instagram Story to announce that she is securing the deal with the brand. Naledi responded to speculation that the partnership had fallen through by confidently sharing an update with her followers.

“They thought it was over I’m literally securing the Stumbo deal. Haters were loud now the deal is louder,” she wrote.

Along with the message, Naledi also shared a clip from Music Pulse  confirming the news. In the video, hosts Thakgi, Sfiso, Khanyi Mars and Nota Baloyi discussed the situation surrounding her campaign with the brand.

During the recent episode, the hosts contacted someone named Fahik who works with Stumbo to clarify whether the deal was still happening.  Fahik confirmed that discussions with the young singer are still ongoing and that reports about the contract being cancelled were not true.

“We still in the process of signing a contract with her, we haven’t signed anything yet. The amounts that were mentioned for the contract as well as us cancelling the contract with Naledi is not accurate. We’re not cancelling anything. We are actually going to be moving forward with Naledi,” he said.

The update comes weeks after speculation spread online that Naledi was set to partner with Stumbo in a major campaign believed to be worth close to R5 million. The rumours gained attention after an episode of Music Pulse that premiered on YouTube on 10 March.

During that episode, co-host Thakgi claimed the deal had been in the works for years before it was reportedly cancelled.

“She had a deal that was worth just under R5 million with Stumbo, and she lost it because she made comments about Mawelele’s new girlfriend,” Thakgi claimed.

The alleged fallout was linked to comments Naledi reportedly made about Bassie Liu, the girlfriend of fellow musician Mawelele.

However, in the latest episode released on 8 April 2026, the show admitted that the earlier claims were incorrect. Sfiso publicly addressed the issue and apologised to viewers for the confusion.

“As Music Pulse we apologise for the misinformation,” Sfiso said.

With the situation now clarified, Naledi’s fans will be watching closely to see how the partnership with Stumbo develops in the coming months.
