MaWhoo Opens Up About Feud With Naledi Aphiwe

Amapiano fans were left stunned after singer MaWhoo opened up about her fallout with rising star Naledi Aphiwe, shedding light on what truly caused tension between the two. In a recent interview on Gagasi FM with Selbeyonce, MaWhoo detailed how a promising friendship and planned collaboration quickly turned into a heated feud filled with personal attacks and painful accusations.

The drama came to light after social media user @PianoConnectSA posted a video of the interview on Tuesday, where MaWhoo candidly spoke about how things spiralled out of control. According to the Ngilimele hitmaker, her relationship with Naledi started on a positive note. The two singers had even planned to collaborate — but things changed after an incident involving MaWhoo’s sister, Amahle.

“I remember this other  time she said that she wanted me to help her and that she would come to Joburg, okay, she came and we did a song, but unfortunately it didn’t work. The beef started when she started fighting with my sister,” MaWhoo explained. “I remember my sister was hosting an event, I was booked, and she was also booked, but drama began when she wanted to get almost 12 people in who didn’t buy tickets. A lot was going on.”

MaWhoo continued, revealing that things took a darker turn the following day when her sister asked for a refund.

“When my sister demanded her refund, Naledi started swearing and insulting Amahle, yoh, I can’t even repeat the things she said because she also spoke ill about my sister’s dead child. It got bad.”

The emotional revelation shocked listeners, as MaWhoo described how deeply the situation affected her. She admitted that after Naledi clashed with her sister, the young star allegedly began speaking badly about her too — prompting MaWhoo to cut ties.

“I love her, I’m being honest. I don’t have a problem, but I don’t know — when someone swears at you and you don’t expect it, sometimes you get confused. I was shocked too, mostly I ignored people. I feel like there’s a team behind that told her ‘go and disrespect MaWhoo so that you can trend too.’”

Her message hinted at disappointment rather than anger — suggesting she still has love for Naledi but has chosen to step back and protect her peace.
