Africa Eye, the BBC’s award-winning documentary series, explores the continent’s most pressing social, political, and cultural issues. Known for its fearless journalism and thought-provoking storytelling, the show aligns perfectly with Claire’s drive to highlight authentic African narratives.

Speaking about her new role, the respected broadcaster shared her excitement and sense of purpose:

“This new chapter with BBC Africa Eye is a responsibility I’m honoured to have. I’m committed to telling stories that bring meaningful change and shifting perceptions about Africa on a global stage.”

Claire’s career has spanned decades — from her early days as an SABC 1 continuity presenter to her impactful investigative work on Carte Blanche. She’s long been admired for her depth, empathy, and curiosity as a storyteller, and joining the BBC marks another milestone in her journey as one of South Africa’s most trusted media voices.

But this new professional chapter isn’t the only exciting change in Claire’s life. The beloved TV personality recently tied the knot, surprising fans with breathtaking photos from her intimate beachfront wedding ceremony.

Wearing a classic off-white satin gown paired with a cowrie shell headpiece, Claire’s look beautifully blended elegance and cultural symbolism. Adding her own signature touch, she completed her outfit with Comme des Garçons Play Converse sneakers, effortlessly combining grace and comfort.

Sharing the joyful moment on Instagram, she captioned her post with the simple but heartfelt words:

“And so the adventure begins.”
