Zambia Deports Zodwa WaBantu Upon Arrival! This comes after Zodwa ignored the religious leaders’ ban for her to perform in the country because of her no panties rule.
The socialite was reportedly detained overnight and deported Saturday morning. Her Zambian promoter, Lucky Munakampe, confirmed that Zodwa had been deported.
The racy dancer had been due to perform in Lusaka at the launch of a music album organised by a local entertainment company, Sunset Sound Production.
Zodwa has however denied being deported saying she came back home on her own terms. ”I am back in eMzansi. If they think I was deported that is not true. Firstly, I did not go there to perform,” she told a local publication.
The organisers of the show confirmed that Zambia’s National Arts Council rejected their application.
