Sharing his gratitude after the launch, Zakes Bantwini wrote:
“Last night, I had the honour of officially launching the Zakes Bantwini Foundation at The Saxon Hotel a moment that’s been years in the making.
This foundation is deeply personal to me. It represents a long-standing commitment to creating access, mentorship, and real opportunities for the next generation, especially youth and women in South Africa.
I want to sincerely thank everyone who came through to support. Seeing leaders and creatives from government, business, entertainment, and the arts come together meant more than I can put into words. Your presence wasn’t just appreciated it strengthened the purpose behind this work.”
The Zakes Bantwini Foundation Instagram page also shared another message from the musician, saying:
“South Africa is filled with extraordinary talent. The foundation is created to help bridge the gap between passion and opportunity by equipping young people with tools, knowledge, and support needed to thrive in the creative and sports industries.”
