Zahara Denies Broke Rumours Once Again: “Country Girl went gold in 20 hours; how can I be broke?”

Zahara has had quite some denying to do this past year.

It was first said the singers life is falling apart and that her boyfriend, now fiance Amaza had left because of a drinking habit she had picked up.

Zahara slammed those rumours but did admit that she struggled with alcohol right after the passing of her brother earlier this year. It looks like more denying and rumour slamming has to take place as there are claims that she might be struggling financially.

The singer has had great success with her album Country Girl, and she insists that she can’t be broke after the album went gold in just 20 hours and platinum in under two weeks.

Speaking to Bona magazin in their latest issue, the singer revealed that she is indeed engaged and on the broke issue she said: “My music makes money, and outside of it I’m a brand ambassador for Nedbank and the Nelson Mandela Children’s Home, so it doesn’t make sense for me to be broke. I do gigs, and Country Girl went gold in 20 hours; how can I be broke?”

She adds that people are just trying to break her down and right now, she’s not having it.
