Global star and humanitarian Nomzamo Mbatha has been announced as the first-ever South African ambassador for iconic haircare brand Creme of Nature, marking a powerful moment in beauty and representation. The brand, which has been serving textured hair for over 65 years, officially launched in South Africa with its bold new campaign, Rooted in Radiance.

This exciting partnership with Nomzamo goes beyond hair—it’s a celebration of culture, confidence, and heritage.

“I am incredibly honoured to be the first African face of Creme of Nature,” said Nomzamo. “This partnership is not just a personal milestone; it signifies a broader celebration of African identity and culture.”

Creme of Nature is now available in South Africa at Clicks, Dis-Chem, Takealot, and Amazon, and will hit Checkers shelves in July 2025. The brand is best known for its Argan Oil and Pure Honey collections, which provide deep nourishment for curly, coily, and kinky textures.

Nomzamo’s collaboration with the brand is more than a traditional beauty deal. It’s about embracing natural hair and proudly showing up as your true self.

“Creme of Nature understands and embraces the unique beauty of diverse hair textures,” Nomzamo added. “It empowers women like me to showcase our authentic beauty proudly.”

Brand Manager Zandi Zinganto says Nomzamo was the perfect choice for this campaign. “Nomzamo embodies the essence of our Rooted in Radiance message,” Zinganto said. “She is powerful, graceful, and celebrates African authenticity. Her partnership with us is an ode to African beauty, culture, and textured hair.”

Nomzamo’s impressive career includes roles in international blockbusters like Coming 2 America and the local hit series Shaka iLembe, Africa’s most-watched drama in 2023. Off-screen, she is just as impactful. She serves as a UN Goodwill Ambassador, Earthshot Prize Ambassador, and Global Citizen Ambassador, using her voice to spark global change.

For Nomzamo, this campaign is personal. “A brand needs to resonate with the diverse experiences of women,” she explained. “This collaboration highlights our strength, individuality, and heritage. Together, we can redefine beauty standards and inspire countless women to love and celebrate their authentic selves.”

The Rooted in Radiance campaign invites South African women to embrace every curl, coil, and kink. It’s not just about hair—it’s about history, pride, and power. With Nomzamo leading the way, the message is clear: “Your Roots, Your Radiance.”
