Unathi Nkayi is a very outspoken women and one thing she can’t deal with is how men can’t handle the comfortability of women in their bodies, so they make up ridiculous excuses as to why it’s okay to violate them.
Taking to Instagram, Unathi made an example of a video that was circulating on social media of a women who was being physically and emotionally assaulted by men at a taxi rank because she was wearing a crop top. The Idols judge then questioned men who blame women for falling victim to GBV because they have trouble handling themselves around women and their bodies.
The singer continued to make an example of Pastor Jadezweni who claimed that women who dance to the popular John Vuli Gate song shouldn’t be surprised when they are violated because the dance is apparently to seductive. Unathi further stated that the Pastor was way out of line for giving men who can’t control themselves a pass for uncalled for behaviour.
“For Umfundisi to say because of us love the song John Vuli Gate and was dance to it with the bums that God gave us by the way, he then said in her sermon to his entire congregation who’s going to go home and say this to their family and friends… he said the way you dance to that song… don’t be shocked if you are victims of G violence” she said.
Unathi whom is also a fan of the John Vuli Gate song was fuming and very offended by the Pastor’s sentiments because many women including herself, have been violated by men at some point in their lives and saying any women asked for such treatment is just plain out disrespectful.
