Watch! DJ Fresh Reveals The Crazy Dare That Someone Tried To Do On Him Live On Air. DJ Fresh has been in the industry well over 20 years and with that amount of time comes a lot of experiences and great story’s to tell. The former Metro FM DJ has a recent guest on MacG’s celebrity edition podcast that now airs on Channel O and viewers got to witness another side to the DJ that is very different from the one we all know.
During the interview, Fresh shared many story’s about his career that made us giggle a little at how silly and mischievous he is. Fresh spoke of his very first radio gig which was at YFM in the 90’s where his successful career all began.
Fresh shared many story’s of how his come up on the station with the likes of Phat Joe, Bad Boy T and many more and it sounds like they had a lot of fun together.
MacG asked Fresh about a rumour of the YFM DJ’s having received a lot of oral sex during their time at the station, which was apparently not true. DJ Fresh refuted the claims however, he did recall an incident on his birthday that someone tried to do while he was live on air which came as a huge surprise to him.
“Although on my birthday someone was dared to come to that to me (oral sex) during my show cause I switched on the mic then this person came around and I was like haibo where are you going kanti they had been dared to do this” he said.
Fresh also shared many other story’s of his time at the station and how he and many other DJ’s were poached by other radio stations as time went by. Fresh went on to join 5 FM where he worked at for a long time, and received a lot of hate mail from the listeners because of his skin colour.
Following his departure at YFM, Fresh real name Thato Sikwane went onto join Metro FM which led to his suspension and termination at the station on account of unsuccessful engagement and the use of offensive language.
Earlier in 2021 Fresh and former co-worker DJ Euphonik were eventually also fired from Johannesburg radio station 947 following allegations of sexual assault against them in and were both released from their contracts with Primedia Broadcasting.
