Watch! Anele Mdoda Shares Her Views On The ‘Strong Black Girl’ Narrative. TV personality and radio host Anele Mdoda is considered to be one of the most outspoken celebs in Mzansi. Although she is often dragged for her views on social media, Anele still stands an unapologetic queen which is one of the many things that we love about her.

In her latest interview with YFM lunch time radio show host Khutso Theledi, Anele gave her two sense about the narrative of being a strong black woman. For many generations, women have been taught to be strong and endure the hardships of life even when brought about by the other gender.

Mdoda strongly believes that those ancient times are over and women now live in a world where they should be soft and delicate flowers. The mother of one is convinced that the narrative of being a strong black woman is an excuse for society to project a lot of its frustrations on the shoulders of females, and then expect them to bounce back after the trauma.

“Let’s drop the strong black woman narrative, it’s done. You no longer have to be strong ladies. Be soft, be delicate be flowers, be taken care of. That strong black woman thing is a trick that they sell you so they can load you with B.S and then expect you to be able to bounce back from it” she said.

The 947 radio host welcomes the idea of healing from ordeals in whatever way is best suited for that individual whether it’s therapy or recuperation however, after taking that time to yourself one should close themselves off because what she will not stand for is being strong for someone else’s child. Watch the clip below.

Now thats some food for thought!!
