Wami Mthethwa has released a statement addressing false accusations made by entertainment blogger Musa Khawula and various blogs on June 23, 2024. Mthethwa, who had hoped for legal action against Khawula, felt compelled to publicly dispute the allegations, which she says are aimed at tarnishing her character.

In her statement, Mthethwa clarifies that she and Nkululeko “Ciza” Nciza began their romantic relationship in December 2021, during which time he was single. The couple now shares a son, and both families have acknowledged their relationship, including the customary practice of inhlawulo. Mthethwa denounced the rumours as “disgusting” and “distasteful,” revealing that they have threatened her safety and damaged her reputation.

Mthethwa criticises the blogs for their “lazy, surface-level journalism,” stating that their false reporting has led to bullying and hatred, particularly affecting innocent children. She urges the public to focus on more significant issues within the country rather than the personal lives of young individuals.

The accusations surfaced after Musa Khawula tweeted that Mthethwa had stolen Anele Zondo’s boyfriend, Ciza, and claimed that Zondo was pregnant with Ciza’s child. However, Zondo quickly refuted the allegations, stating that Ciza was neither her boyfriend nor the father of her child.
