South African singer and songwriter Unarine “Una Rams” Rambani has poured his heart into his debut album, Meet Me At The Altar, a special body of work dedicated to his wife, actress Ntando Duma.
The couple, who tied the knot in June, recently welcomed their first child together — a beautiful baby girl. They shared the exciting news on the cover of Batswadi Magazine’s August 2025 issue, posing alongside Ntando’s first-born daughter, Sbahle, and their newborn.
“What started off as a collection of songs, soon became a declaration of my love for my wife,” said Una Rams, speaking about the inspiration behind the album. He described Meet Me At The Altar as a “sonic museum” — a place where their love story, cultures, and wedding celebrations could be expressed and celebrated through music.
Blending smooth R&B with Afro-tech, Una Rams’ work has already made waves in the music industry. He is a Grammy Award winner for his contribution to Black Coffee’s Subconsciously album, specifically on the song Flava. He has also collaborated with top artists such as Burna Boy and Muneyi, with whom he released Ndi a Mufuna earlier this year — a heartfelt ode to Ntando and their relationship.
For Una Rams, this album is more than music. “It’s arguably my best work yet… we’ll take the next step with ‘priceless possession’ until you can finally… meet me at the altar,” he shared.
He revealed that creating the album tested his dedication, comparing the process to the lifelong commitment of marriage. “Countless hours, endless sessions and sleepless nights… working on my debut album became a true test of commitment,” he said. “Having to go back to work on some of these records over and over again… to me that meant I had what it took to work on myself and our relationship and really do forever.”
Ntando expressed her pride and admiration for her husband’s achievement. “I’m beyond proud of you. This album is a masterpiece… Every single song is a reflection of your heart and soul,” she wrote. “I know the world is going to fall in love with it just like I have. Can’t wait to celebrate with you and see your dreams take flight.”
