A string of A-list stars and celebrities lit up the red carpet on Wednesday at the H&M & LA event in Los Angeles. But it was Tyla who stole the show with her stylish and fun outfit.
Tyla gave her look a blast from the past. The Grammy Award-winning singer and newly announced Pandora brand ambassador styled a look full of ’90s flair. She wore a white cropped T-shirt with a crew neckline, paired with low-rise, baggy denim jeans made of distressed fabric for a cool, grungy feel. She completed her look with strappy black sandal heels, giving her outfit a perfect mix of casual and chic.
Her sister, Sydney Seethal, was also present at the event, wearing a short denim dress and matching black strappy sandal heels.

Tyla’s appearance at the event made perfect sense. Earlier in March 2025, H&M unveiled its Spring/Summer 2025 collection, celebrating femininity by blending different moods, styles, and identities. The campaign features a diverse group of inspiring female icons, including South African sensation Tyla, FKA twigs, and Caroline Polachek.
Adding a personal touch to the campaign, Tyla is joined by her sister Sydney, making it a true family affair.
The collection was launched in two parts. The first drop was available starting 20 March 2025, both in stores and online. It embraces an ethereal bohemian style and draws inspiration from festival fashion, city chic looks, and timeless glam rock vibes. The designs mix elements from the 70s, 90s, and today’s trends, showing off the many sides of modern femininity.
Tyla is not only making waves in music but also becoming a strong name in the fashion world. Her bold and creative outfits, like her recent tweed look at the Fall/Winter 2025 Chanel show in Paris, prove that she knows how to master seductive, rock-‘n’-roll chic style with a feminine twist.
The H&M event also celebrated South African talent in a big way. Singer Elaine was there and was seen taking pictures with Tyla. South African duo Major League DJz performed, along with the “Princess of Amapiano” Uncle Waffles. Popular DJs Maphorisa and Kabza De Small also performed as a duo. South African content creators Violy and Melody Molale were spotted enjoying the event with Elaine.
It was truly a night where South African stars shined brightly — and Tyla led the way.
