Thuso Mbedu Bags A Major Award Nomination. The anticipation is in full swing after the coveted Black Reel Awards revealed this years nomination for the prestigious platform. The platform serves to honour African American actors and actresses who have showcased their major talent in blockbuster films.
The people of Mzansi are beaming with pride after our international superstar actress Thuso Mbedu also received a nod. Mbedu was nominated in the Outstanding TV Movie/Limited Series, Actor & Actress category along with other well known American stars including the likes of Chris Rock and Tessa Thompson.
The nomination comes after her stellar performance on the Barry Jenkins directed limited series The Underground Railroad. Her role as Cora on the show mad many local and international moguls applauding her talents including the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Ellen Degeneres and many more.
Thjis is not the first international award nomination that Mbedu has bagged in her career after being a shoe in at the previous Emmy Awards ceremony for her role on the local drama Is’thunzi.
