‘Tholukhuti Hey’ Hitmaker Mbali Speaks On Her Overnight Fame! Mbali Sikwane already had over 17k followers on twitter within a week of joining. She’s been interviewed more than other upcoming musicians who’ve been around for a while.

So how has this affected the 16 year old High School student? Mbali says she’s still the same student and will not let the fame get to her and affect her grades in school.

Surprisingly, Mbali is not dreaming of a music career but one in Law. Sikwane told Sunday World that one of her teachers saw her on TV and told her not to get carried away and forget her school work.

“I will not be performing at night gigs because of my age. I will only perform during the day but not in places where 16-year-olds are restricted,” she told the publication.

Her mother said she was not surprised about her daughter’s overnight success and is not bothered by her daughter’s lyrics on the hit track.

“She likes shooting videos of herself singing. She also sings in the school and church choirs. It is just a song that makes people happy, I wouldn’t say anything about the lyrics.”
