In a heartfelt episode of The Motherhood Network podcast, hosted by Nandi Madida, guest Nozipho Ntshangase—mother of eight, cast member of The Mommy Club, and host of @Lifelately_podcast—opened up about her personal journey as a woman, mother, and individual finding her way after life’s challenges.
During the conversation, Nozipho shared the ups and downs of motherhood, speaking openly about blended families, the challenges of raising children, and the emotional pain of a public separation. She reflected deeply on the healing that followed, and the lessons she learned along the way.
Talking about her separation from her ex-husband, Nozipho admitted that the process was life-changing and deeply painful. She said, “You can’t not go through something that is life changing and not in a good way and not feel rejection. When you have certain plans for your life and suddenly you have to change those plans not because you want to, you don’t immediately see it as redirection. It took a long time for me to do some work, I said this is not rejection, it’s redirection.” She credited therapy for playing an important role in helping her heal, adding, “Therapy played a huge role in that.”
Nozipho also opened up about undergoing a “mommy makeover,” which included liposuction and a tummy tuck procedure. She explained her decision with pride and honesty, saying, “I had four pregnancies. I love the changes our bodies go through after pregnancies, I own it. I’m so blessed that God blessed me to carry my babies—it’s such a huge blessing that I don’t take for granted at all, but this was for me. This chapter is mine and it’s the redirection, it’s the refocus.”
When asked about her thoughts on love and marriage, Nozipho shared that she remains a firm believer in marriage but is prioritising her children and herself for now. “I love marriage. I absolutely believe in marriage. I will never not get married again, but I think this chapter right now is me raising my kids. I’m now very weary of the decisions that I make about my life that could affect my children, so I’m in no rush. If love finds me, it finds me.”
Looking ahead, Nozipho expressed excitement for the future and revealed that she is currently working on a new project. With hope and confidence, she said, “I do have a project that I’m working on. I think 2026 is going to be a big and amazing year for me because we’re going to add a new title to our names.”
Through her honesty and vulnerability, Nozipho Ntshangase inspires many mothers and women navigating change, showing that life’s setbacks can truly become redirection toward something greater.
