Turns out it’s not true at least according to Fikile Mbalula who who was the head of elections for ANC. Mbalula shut down the claims on twitter saying there was no such endorsement happening. Mbalula said the President said there won’t be popping champagne at he inaugural as they want to respect the people who voted for them.
“We come from a bruising election we cant entertain such nonsense this is not a Hollywood party is an inauguration of a President who must serve his people,” he tweeted.
