The Incredibles, the dynamic duo behind some of Joburg’s boldest Gqom sounds, are turning up the heat with their new single Shibilika, a powerhouse collaboration with DJ Tira and BlaQ Kiidd. The song has already started making waves for its raw, festive, high-energy feel, the kind of sound that instantly pulls people to the dance floor. With its heavy bass, unfiltered Joburg Gqom edge, and undeniable summer spirit, Shibilika marks a major moment in The Incredibles’ journey.
From the classrooms of Pietermaritzburg to influencing South Africa’s nightlife, the duo, made up of childhood friends Adam Dee and Tyson King, have come a long way. When they first created the track, they immediately felt the magic. The beat was intense, the energy was high, and they knew they were crafting a sound perfect for late nights, loud speakers, and celebratory summer moods.
Shibilika also signals a new chapter for them. Alongside the single, they’re gearing up for bigger collaborations, live shows, new merchandise, and even international tours. As they continue shaping the future of Gqom, The Incredibles are proving that the genre is far from fading — in fact, they say it’s “still a force.”
In an exclusive interview with OK Mzansi Magazine, Adam Dee and Tyson King opened up about creating Shibilika, working with DJ Tira, and what’s next for them.
