“My son didn’t kill himself” Senzo Meyiwa’s dad is demanding answers on who killed his son almost two years ago. Sam Meyiwa says he is still waiting for the police to tell him who killed him.
Two months after it was announced that the Hawks were on the brink of arresting the Senzo’s killer no arrests have been made. The Sunday Independent reported the docket had been taken from the Hawks in Gauteng, under Major-General Prince Mokotedi, and transferred to Major-General Kotsi Nkomo, the SAPS’s newly appointed divisional commissioner of detective services in Pretoria.
Meyiwa says he didn’t even know that the docket has been moved. “They’re the law, they’re supposed to tell me what’s going on. This whole thing is just full of corruption. Senzo didn’t shoot himself. They need to arrest the people who were in that house that night. They know who shot him,” he said.
