Somizi Released On R1000 Bail After Brief Detainment At The Sandton Police Station! Last week the Minister of Transport Fikile Mbalula opened a case against Somizi Mhlongo for misinformation and spreading fake news and name dropping him.
National Police Spokesman, Vish Naidoo, confirmed to Sunday World that Somizi was briefly detained at the Sandton police station last week Thursday, after handing himself over.
Naidoo confirmed that Mhlongo was released on R1000 bail and was scheduled to appear at the Randburg Magistrate court on April 30.
Somizi has since apologized to Fikile Mbalula and Mzansi for what he describes as a bad joke. “Whatever it is that I need to face, I’ll face because I’m not above the law,” Somizi had said in an Instagram video posted on Thursday night.
