Celebrities often take part in campaigns that stand against woman abuse and one of the biggest ones has started.
November 25th marked the started of the 16 Days of Activism campaign. Which aims to show support for victims of abuse and for people to stand up against it.
Millions of people around the country tweeted their pledge against abuse using the #16DaysOfActivism hashtag.
Simphiwe Dana has voiced her opinion on the course and shares that the 16 Days are not as effective as we think they are.

The singer goes on to say that South Africans are quick to put a band aid over things instead of fixing the actual wound.

She then goes on to add that all men that are abusers know that what they’re doing is wrong but continue to do so, knowing the consequences of their actions.
