Sicelo Buthelezi Reveals The Actor Who Made His Dream Come True. Gomora actor Sicelo Buthelezi has taken to twitter to share how his dream of acting with one of Mzansi’s veteran actors has come true and he is over the moon because of the accomplishment. Yizo Yizo actor Israel Zulu is the latest member to join the star studded cast of the award winning drama Gomora.
Zulu landed a role as Don who had an entanglement with Teddy’s mother Zodwa played by Sannah Mchunu when she became pregnant with Teddy played by Buthelezi. Speaking to the Daily Sun publication, Zulu gave insight to the role that he will be playing on the series.
“I’ll be playing Don. He had a relationship with Zodwa, played by Sannah Mchunu, and they had Teddy. He dumped Zodwa for a rich woman and went to live in mansions. Unfortunately, the woman recently died,” Zulu said.
Now that he has returned, things are not really the same for him anymore when he enters the world of crime and hijacking to make ends meet. Israels character is described as the man you love to hate because of his gangster ways but his humorous personality is what will make the viewers love him so much.
Fans on twitter flooded Sicelo’s post with congratulatory messages, sharing how proud they are of him for working hard and making his dream a reality. The actor previously opened up about how he bagged the role on Gomora claiming that thanks to his mentor Warren Masemola, he went and auditioned and scored the role.
Sicelo has bagged a Royalty Soapie Award for the role and we can’t wait to see where his acting and music journey take him.
