Shannon Benting Begins Her Miss Supranational Journey in Poland

South Africa’s Miss Supranational representative, Shannon Benting, has officially arrived in Poland to compete in the prestigious Miss Supranational 2026 pageant. The beauty queen is currently in Nowy Sącz where contestants from around the world have gathered for the international competition.

The preliminary events and the grand finale are taking place at the historic Strzelecki Park Amphitheater. The Festival of Beauty, which includes the highly anticipated Miss Supranational 2026 grand finale, is officially scheduled for 31 July 2026.

After arriving in Poland, Shannon shared an emotional message on social media, expressing her gratitude for the opportunity to represent South Africa on the global stage.

Shannon reflected on the long journey to Poland and the special promise she made before leaving South Africa.

She wrote, “South Africa, I have arrived in beautiful Poland! It has been an exhilarating 24 hours, flying across the globe, spending some time in Turkey and meeting my Supra sisters along the way. On 6 June, I did not just make a promise to myself. I made a promise to South Africa to represent my beautiful country with joy, excellence, pride and a grateful spirit.

“My mission is clear, and I am here standing tall, defying the odds and surpassing what I once believed was possible for a girl from my hometown. I am at @misssupranational, paving a new path for little girls whose dreams are bigger than their current reality. I cannot wait to share my Miss Supranational journey with you all!”

Her heartfelt message quickly captured the excitement of supporters who will be cheering her on throughout the competition. Shannon’s journey is not only about competing for the international crown but also about proudly representing South Africa while inspiring young girls to dream beyond their circumstances.

According to DRUM Magazine, Shannon also opened up about what representing South Africa means to her and the message she hopes to share with women around the world.

She said, “I am honoured to be representing the bold and diverse South Africa. I am a model and a content creator, but my biggest and greatest achievement is being a mother. I am here to remind all women, especially mothers, that you can do it all, you can be it all, and you can have it all – with a child on your hip. Because we are entirely capable of carrying both a child and a dream,” she said.

Her words highlight a powerful message of determination and resilience. Shannon wants mothers to know that having children does not mean putting their dreams aside. Instead, she hopes her journey on the Miss Supranational stage will encourage women to chase their goals with confidence.
