Seputla Sebogodi Bags A Major International Blockbuster Acting Gig. We think it’s about time that our local actors bag more international roles, and we have been enjoying watching actor such as Nomzamo Mbatha, Thuso Mbedu and more make their Hollywood debuts.

The Queen actor Seputla Sebogodi is also set to take on Hollywood with his next role where he will be rubbing shoulders with some of Hollywoods best actors. Entertainment broadcast reporter Phil Mphela has reported that Sebogodi has bagged a role on the upcoming film The Woman King.

The film is set to star award winning American actress Viola Davis, John Boyega, Thuso Mbedu and more. According to Mphela, the film will be shot in South Africa so we can expect more local faces to be cast in the film.

A few months ago it was confirmed that Mbedu will be starring in the TriStar Pictures production titled The Woman King alongside Academy Award-winning actress Viola Davis and Hollywood acclaimed director Gina Prince-Bythewood.

The Woman King is a historical film inspired by true events that took place in The Kingdom of Dahomey, one of the most powerful states of Africa in the 18th and 19th centuries.

The story follows Nanisca, General of the all-female military unit, and Nawi, an ambitious recruit, who together fought enemies who violated their honour, enslaved their people, and threatened to destroy everything they’ve lived for.

Congratulations to the veteran actor!!
