Robert Marawa Explains Why He Went Public With His Break Up! The sports anchor recently announced his break up from now former fiance Pearl Thusi saying it’s still all love. This came as a surprise to many as Marawa is often private with his love life.

In an interview on East Coast Radio on Monday, Robert explained why he decided to take to twitter making his private life public.

“I never talk about my private life but I decided to confirm it to protect both sets of families. If you don’t own your space, people can twist things and write things that are not true,” he said.

Marawa went on to say he didn’t owe anyone else an explanation of what went wrong saying, “It’s none of the peoples’ business and the only thing I owe South Africans is what I do on television and radio.”
