Rapulana Seiphemo In Court Over Tax Evasion Charges: Here’s How Much He Owes SARS! The Generations: The Legacy star has landed in hot water after failing to submit income tax returns from 2013 to 2017.

Seiphemo appeared at the Johannesburg Specialized Commercialized Crimes Court, Wednesday morning. His case was postponed to October 18 for him to make representations to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

“We can confirm that Rapulana Seiphemo faces five counts of contravening tax laws in that he failed to submit his personal income tax returns,” National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwana said.

Unfortunately, this does spell trouble for Seiphemo as there are serious consequences that come with tax evasion. Depending on where you are in the world, the penalty of tax evasion can differ from country to country. Luckily there are sites similar to taxlawcanada.com so those looking can find the information needed to ensure that taxes are filled out and filed correctly. Seiphemo did not seem to do this in his own country. Seiphemo did not seem to do this in his own country, and will not have to face to consequences issued by the South African Revenue Service.

Seiphemo reportedly owed the South African Revenue Service an amount exceeding R48, 000. “However‚ the penalties accumulated over the years amount to more than R111, 000 [and the total] now amounts to R160,000,” Mjonondwana added. As the case is ongoing, there is very little anyone can say about the outcome. Nevertheless, it doesn’t seem good for Seiphemo.
