The mysterious death of South Africa’s Ambassador to France — and former Minister of Police — Nathi Mthethwa, has taken a shocking new turn after world-renowned Psychic Crime Investigator Diva D’Andrea claimed that his death was not a suicide, but a carefully staged assassination.

Mthethwa, 58, was found dead on Tuesday, 30 September 2025, after allegedly falling from the 22nd floor of the Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile Hotel. French authorities confirmed that a secured window in his room had been forced open, with a pair of scissors discovered nearby.

He had reportedly checked into the hotel ahead of a scheduled diplomatic function, and his wife, Philisiwe Buthelezi, told police she received a message from him the night before, in which he apologized and hinted at taking his own life.

Diva D’Andrea’s Chilling Revelation

Known for her international work on unsolved and high-profile criminal cases, Diva D’Andrea says she was urged by her followers to examine the ambassador’s death psychically.

Her findings — posted on her “Unsolved Cases” page — have since ignited global conversation and renewed scrutiny of the circumstances surrounding Mthethwa’s death.

“I believe Nkosinathi is deceased. I also feel there was foul play involved — that he was assassinated,” said D’Andrea.

“His death was politically motivated and intentionally made to look like a suicide to his family and the public.”

A Political Web: The Madlanga Commission

According to D’Andrea, the motive for the alleged assassination could be tied to the explosive Madlanga Commission, which is investigating state capture and irregularities within South Africa’s police and intelligence structures.

Mthethwa, who served as Minister of Police from 2009 to 2014, was said to have been indirectly implicated through a witness who recently testified before the Commission.

“I feel the motive for his death is connected to the Madlanga Commission,” D’Andrea stated.

“A leaked testimony reached powerful individuals, and a decision was made to eliminate him and make it look like a suicide.”

The Assassin Theory

Diva’s reading suggests that a young, highly trained South African assassin was flown into France, with assistance from a woman within the ambassador’s envoy.

“Nkosinathi was unconscious when he fell out the window. I do not believe he sent that text message to his wife,” she wrote.

“The assassin was in and out of France within 24 hours.”

She also warned that Mthethwa’s wife may now be in immediate danger, alleging that she “knows more than she realizes” and that “authorities may not disclose the full truth to the public.”

What the Police Say

French authorities have not ruled out foul play, though official reports maintain there were no signs of struggle, no drugs, and no foreign DNA found at the scene.

The South African government has yet to issue a formal statement beyond expressing condolences.

Sources close to the embassy describe the incident as “deeply suspicious,” especially given that hotel windows at the Hyatt are factory-secured and nearly impossible to open without tools.

Diva’s Disclaimer

Diva D’Andrea emphasized that her insights are psychic impressions, not official evidence:

“My findings are my thoughts and opinions only. They are not intended to harm or accuse anyone,” she stated.

“My goal is to shed light on mysteries and help guide justice where it has been obscured.”

Still, her statements have gone massively viral, sparking outrage, speculation, and fresh demands for transparency in a case that many now believe may go far deeper than it appears.

Read her full finding below which read:

DIVA’s FINDINGS

“I have received many requests from my followers to give my opinion on this death. There have been many speculations, suicide or murder, Madlanga Commission and even the Gaza Genocide. I will give my findings but first let’s consider a few things.

Nkosinathi was Minister of Police in South Africa from 2009 to 2014. It’s alleged that during that time he asked the Inspector General of Intelligence to drop all charges against the head of Criminal Intelligence who was being investigated.

The Madlanga Commission has been tasked to investigate allegations of state capture and irregularities within the police services. Recently a central witness provided valuable evidence to the Madlanga Commission. There is speculation that this evidence is linked to Nkosinathi.

I believe Nkosinathi is deceased. I also feel there was foul play involved, that he was assassinated. His death was politically motivated and not personal. It was intentionally made to look like a suicide to his family and the public.

He allegedly spoke to his wife on Monday afternoon 29 September, I’m sure she would have picked up an emotional change if he was suicidal. She reported him missing the same day. He checked himself into the hotel because he was attending a work function.

I feel the motive for his death is connected to the Madlanga Commission . A witness’s testimony to the Madlanga Commission leaked out to certain individuals who held an immediate meeting, where it was decided to use an assassin and make it look like a suicide.

I believe a young highly trained South African assassin was waiting for him in his room that evening. The assassin had been assisted by a female that is part of the ambassadors envoy. Nkosinathi was unconscious when he “fell” out the window. I do not believe he was the one to send that text message to his wife. The assassin was flown in and out of France within 24 hrs.

I believe Nkosinathi had many secrets from his past that would not only expose him but many others in high positions. In particular an older female and a male in a high powered position. If the knowledge he had were exposed, many high powered people would be implicated. A massive scandal would ensue as it involves an incomprehensible amount of money.

I feel the motive for his death is connected to the Madlanga Commission. I also feel that Nkosinathi’s wife is now in immediate danger.

I also believe that this is a highly confidential case, so all the details will not be released or made public by authorities.
