Pics! Proud Mama, Unathi Reveals Her 18 Year Old Son For The First Time. Radio and TV personality and singer Unathi Nkayi is one of South Africa’s biggest names in entertainment. This makes her life one of public interest. Unathi has however done a great job at shielding her children from the world choosing to not show their faces when she shares moments with them on social media.
Unathi is a mother of two children whom she shares with ex husband Thomas Msengana. Their first born, Sinako is already eighteen years old (yup, feeling old) and the proud mama finally shared photos of him without hiding his face as she has consistently done over the years. The proud mama has previously gushed over how much her son looks like her not only physically but is also her twin in many ways.
“We stared at each other and didn’t blink for what felt like forever. It was strange for me staring at myself, my twin. Seeing my eyes, lips and bone structure in another human being. Not knowing we would be twins in so many other ways too. The way you laugh, care and have respect for others. Your love and pure talent at hockey and how you tap into your intuition,” Unathi had shared on Sinako’s seventeenth birthday.
Sharing the beautiful photos over the weekend, Unathi shared how her son gave her the permission to not hide his face anymore and how he gave her purpose.
“Nako Wam…. Sitting here infront of me I can’t believe you’re 18. Daddy and I did it. You’re happy. Beautiful. And ours. I love you up to God Nako. Four days of labour, we almost lost you but God namanyange said ANEVA ngesizukulo sethu. You said ‘Moms I’m 18 now. You don’t have to protect me anymore. I can protect myself. You don’t have to hide my face anymore.’ Enkosi Nako wam. Thank you for making me grow up and have a purpose. Thank you for being who you are to Mboshla. Thank you for being a true testimony to Daddy’s and I’s LOVE PS Daddy is still taller than you,” Unathi gushed.
