Pics! Inside Basadi In Music Awards 2022. The inaugural Basadi In Music Awards happened this past weekend at the Gallagher Convention Centre. Hosted by Moozlie and Anele Zondo, the Awards ceremony looked more epic than most that happened the last few weeks and this was only their first edition. From the red carpet to the entertainment and the impressive winners list, they did good.
Mam’ Abigail with Mam’ Yvonne Chaka Chaka were both honored with the SAMPRA Lifetime Achievement Award. Makhadzi walked away with the artist of the year Award, DJ Zinhle and Dineo Ranaka both won Business Achievement of the year awards. Boohle and Pabi Cooper represented Amapiano winning Amapiano artist of the year award and song of the year award for ‘Banyana ke Bafana’ respectively. Other winners from the night included Lerato Kganyago and Lamiez Holworthy who won radio personality of the year and DJ of the awards respectively. Lamiez also won TV presenter of the year award.
Rap /hip-hop artist of the year went to Gigi Lamayne, Traditional artist of the year went to Basetsana Basetso, Holly Rey won Pop artist of the year , social media influencer of the year Khanyise Jaceni was crowned social media influencer of the year. Cappasso most streamed song Nomcebo Zikode, Bethabile Skhosana taking the award of the gospel artist of the year.
