The former Real Goboza host has now bagged himself a new hosting gig on a new upcoming reality show. The show is an American original format and will be debuting on popular streaming service Showmax.
TV and radio personality Majota Khambule known professionally as Phat Joe has been confirmed by entertainment broadcast commentator Phil Mphela to be the host of popular international dating reality show Temptation Island.
Showmax recently shared a trailer of the spinoff show and it looks like viewers are in for a whole lot of drama and tears. The show sees 4 couples put their relationships to the ultimate test in the midst of 20 singles in the sandy beaches of Cape Town. The cast will be participating in the show as singles and in the end, they will have to decide if they still want to be together after the show.
Showmax’s head of content Candice Fangueiro revealed the due to Joe being a household name with an impressive history in the world of TV, they found him to be very fitting to be the host for the show. Phat Joes eventful background when it comes to his love life also makes him the perfect candidate to host the show as he has experienced all of love’s ups and downs.

Temptation Island South Africa premieres August 26th 2021 on Showmax every Thursday and will star a few familiar faces including The Way Ngingakhona reality star MJ Maponya and his girlfriend Nthabiseng.
