Pearl Thusi Reveals She Got Paid For The Cancelled Season 2 Of Queen Sono. After it was announced that Queen Sono will not be getting a season two, fans of the Netflix series were rather sad for the show and went as far as creating a petition for the second season to be made.
According to a statement made by the streaming platform and the creator of the series Kagiso Lediga, the production was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances have taken over including the pandemic, forcing the production to cancel the shoot.
In Pearl‘s latest interview with famous podcaster MacG on his notorious show ‘Podcast And Chill’, the actress revealed that she didn’t know that the production was about to canned at the time.
It was only at production meeting that she was told what the situation is with the production of Queen Sono, however it didn’t end all bad for Miss Thusi as she was paid a cancellation fee by the production.
“When They said Queen Sono is cancelled, I mopped for like three days but we got to gather had the conversation we needed to have and they gave me my cancellation fee” she said.
When a door closes a window always opens and Pearl has now bagged another international gig where she’ll be kicking butt again, in a new martial arts Netflix series titled ‘Wu Assassins”.
The actress will be starring in the second season of the the show is reportedly being filmed as a two-part movie production in Thailand.
