Pearl Thusi Responds To Critics Calling For Her Fall After Standing Up Against Xenophobia. Although many are fighting against racism worldwide with the Black Lives Matter Movement, actress Pearl Thusi is starting the change here at home.

In a tweet, Thusi expressed that she will never support the dominant opinion of South Africans who are pro the killing of foreign nationals that reside in South Africa no matter what.

She further stated the reason behind her statement is because she will never stand for the division of Africans which was introduced by colonizers in the form of boarders.

“Killing African nationals that reside in South Africa is something I will never defend. Defending borders drawn by colonizers will never be something I limit myself with.#IAMANAFRICAN“ she wrote.

Twitter then called for the actress to be cancelled once again for her opinion using the #PearlThusiMustFall which became a top trend on the platform.

However Thusi is known for her unapologetic opinion and this time is no different. The actress responded to the backlash with a positive tweet saying that she is will never be shaken by any hashtag, hate or shade that is thrown her way because of this and her word is final.

“I am not afraid… Of hashtags, name calling, personal attacks…It’s a waste of time with me. I will always stand by my word. Love… P” she responded
