Pearl Thusi Apologizes For Interview With Toll A$$ Mo. Social media is livid with Pearl Thusi and BET Africa for giving alleged rapist Toll A$$ Mo a platform to defend himself from the allegations against him made by Lerato Moloi on Behind The Story.

Tweeps were more disappointed in how Thusi responded to the backlash she received from social media which in turn disregarded Moloi’s feelings in a now deleted Tweet, where she compared the situation to Gayle King who interviewed R Kelly.

The Queen Sono actress has now put into consideration all the outrage and has issued a lengthy apology on twitter for her discretions at a time where gender based violence is one of the leading social crises’s in South Africa and around the world.

” The misunderstanding this week broke my heart. I have so much to say but tensions are high, & some people will commit to misunderstand anything said.

“That said, there was never an intention to hurt, harm or create any imbalance in the fight against GBV – a fight I have supported my entire career. And for that I apologize unreservedly” Pearl wrote

Pearl said her intentions to interview the comedian were misunderstood however she and BET Africa take full responsibility and will no longer be airing the interview.

“I see how the intentions with BTS misunderstood & I & BET Africa were take responsibility for that. Many of you have no clue of conversations happening behind the scenes & it’s too late now to bring those to light” she said.
