Former Rhythm City actress Pam Andrews has shared exciting news with her fans after revealing that she has officially landed her first acting role since returning to South Africa.

The actress took to Instagram to open up about her emotional journey back into the entertainment industry after being away from television for six years. Pam explained that she has finally returned to set and is grateful for the support she received from fans throughout her difficult journey.

She said, “I just wanted to let you guys know the good news, I just got my first acting job since coming back to South Africa. I know you guys were with me when I was going to all the auditions. I feel like you guys have been with me through that journey, from way back when I was sick and all these things.”

Pam also revealed that she had just finished filming when she recorded the update and was still wearing her character’s makeup.

“I just came from set, I still have my characters make up. I know so many of you said you were praying for me and hoping I’d come back to TV. And God has finally blessed me with a role. I’m still in shock that I was even chosen because it’s been six years,” she said.

The actress also reflected on why she stepped away from the entertainment industry in the first place. According to Pam, health challenges forced her to take time away from acting so she could focus on herself and recover.

“I had to leave the industry because I wasn’t feeling well and needed to take a break,” she said.

Pam admitted that she initially believed she had failed the audition and did not expect to hear good news afterward.

“When I auditioned for this role, I walked away thinking I didn’t get it. I told my family I didn’t think I got it. Then my agent called me a week later and said, ‘Congratulations, you got the role,’” she said.

Although she has not yet revealed the name of the production, the actress confirmed that filming is already underway.

“I can’t say yet what the show is, but I’ll let you guys know soon. It’s a series and we’re busy shooting season one right now. Amazing cast, amazing crew,” she added.
