Ouch! Somizi Throws Major Shade At SA Designer! The radio and TV host has never been the one to mince his words especially when it comes to those in the entertainment business.

During a recent chat on his breakfast show on Metro FM, Somizi blasted ‘fame-hungry’ local designers saying they think they are celebs although they possess talent.

“I spoke about it at the Durban Fashion Fair, South African designer’s work should speak for itself versus them pushing the face before their work. They want to be famous. I don’t want to know the designer’s face. I want to know the designer’s work.”

The style star added that designers also needed to realise that not everyone was meant to design couture. Instead they should look to work on everyday clothing to push their brand.
